These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Onit (operated by V. Vandeth, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Onit, you accept these Terms and the Privacy policy. If you don't accept them, don't use Onit.

Onit is an obligation tracker that connects to your Gmail with read-only access, identifies likely bills, renewals, and contracts, and sends you persistent notifications until you mark them done or snooze them. Onit does not pay bills, cancel contracts, negotiate on your behalf, send email, or take any action against your accounts with third parties.

Onit is a reminder tool. Acting on a reminder is your job.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Onit.
• You are responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with.
• One account per natural person. Don't share credentials.
• You can disconnect Gmail or delete your account from Settings at any time.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or rate-limit-evade the service.
• Use Onit to monitor an inbox you do not have authorization to access.
• Probe, attack, or attempt to compromise the service or other users' data.
• Resell, sublicense, or rebrand Onit without written permission.
• Use Onit in any way that violates law or third-party rights.

Onit may offer paid plans through Apple's in-app purchase or Google's billing system, processed by RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your platform's account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their published refund policies; we do not process refunds directly. Pricing may change; we will give at least 30 days' notice before applying a price change to existing subscribers.

Onit, the Onit name, the blueprint design language, and the software are ours. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal use under these Terms. You retain all rights in the email content Onit reads on your behalf.

Onit relies on Google (Gmail API, OAuth), OpenAI (Chat Completions API for extraction), Apple (APNs, App Store), Expo (push delivery), and a hosting provider. Outages, rate limits, or policy changes by these vendors may affect the service. We're not liable for failures caused by third-party providers, but we'll do our best to communicate when they happen.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Onit's extraction is performed by a large language model and will sometimes be wrong. It may miss obligations, mis-categorize them, or pull in false positives. You are responsible for verifying any obligation before acting on it. Onit is not a substitute for reading your email, your contracts, or competent financial or legal advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Onit nor its operator will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising out of or related to your use of the service — including, without limitation, damages caused by missed deadlines, missed negotiation windows, or obligations Onit failed to surface.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Onit in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Onit and its operator from any claim arising out of (a) your misuse of the service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.

You can stop using Onit at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. On termination, we purge your data per the retention schedule.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Phnom Penh, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
